"What do you believe in?"

This is the first question every person gets asked at every job interview at Intercasting Corp.

One candidate said, "I believe in Vannevar Bush, who in 1945 called for technology to help consolidate knowledge. 'Mendel's concept of the law of genetics was lost to the world for a generation because his publication did not reach the few who were capable of grasping and extending it,' Bush wrote, 'and this sort of catastrophe is undoubtedly being repeated all about us, as truly significant attainments become lost in the mass of the inconsequential.'"

Another person said, "I believe the children are our future. Teach them well and let them lead the way. Show them all the beauty they possess inside." (They were unfortunately denied employment.)

In any case, there is no right answer, but it tells a lot about a person and whether they will fit our team. Mostly it sets the expectation that we are only interested in working with people who are passionate about what they do. We want to change the world and we want to work with people who feel the same way.
